Elizabeth Feinler was born on March 2, 1931. She has a bachelors degree in chemistry from West Liberty University and after she worked with Dr. Roy Whistler at Perdue University in Biochemistry. Feinler created the ARPANET and managed the defense data network. Additionally, she was a contractor for the NASA Ames Research Center and a founding member of the Internet Engineering Task Force. She had a very sucessful career and was awarded many times for her great accomplishments. In 2012 she was inducted into the Internet Society Hall of Fame and in 2000 was was in the SRI Alumni Hall of Fame. SHe is still alive and is currently 93 years old!
